What is Chlorella

Chlorella is a single- called, green freshwater algae belonging to the division Chlorophyta.

It is spherical in shape, about 2 to 10m in diameter, and is without flagella. It contains the green photosynthesis pigments chlorophyll.

Chlorella is a type of algae that grows in fresh water. The whole plant is used to make nutritional supplements and medicine.
